Even today, the colours of the Barons von Closen can be seen in the coat of arms of the Lower Bavarian town of Markt Arnstorf. This noble family was responsible for shaping the development of the town up to 1847. The Obere Schloss in particular, with its two ornately decorated staterooms, and the neighbouring Untere Schloss are evocative of the spirit of that time.
