Whether this market town can thank the seven streams that come together there for its name, is a matter for historians. Especially popular is the well-built network of cycle paths that with the Bockerlbahn Cycle Path and XperRegio attract more than just keen cyclists for tours. Two well-known companies in the canning industry, Fischer and Stangl, are registered here in Simbach, close to the big vegetable growing areas in the fertile heart of Lower Bavaria.
