3 km west of Landau is a unique natural monument
On the eastern outskirts of the past 3 km west of Landau on the Isar hillside village is a short way to the unique in the whole of Southern Natural Monument "Growing Rock", which is also referred to as "locust rock" (see also winged altar!) Has a downhill running Quellbächlein built with his very hard water, a long wall-like around 50 m in the course of millennia and up to 3 m high bizarrely shaped rocks. On the hand wide rocky ridge flows today the brook to the valley and flows over a rocky outcrop in a natural pool. The spring water was said to have healing power.
