Planetary tour, 94405 Landau
Star watch closely...
Whether young stargazers, passionate amateur astronomer or inquisitive stars and starlets - in the Landauer Planet gather children and adults fascinating impressions and exciting facts about our solar system. Scale models make the actual proportions of the planets visible and their distance to each other experience.
The Landauer Planet starts in the center of our solar system, located in the City Hall courtyard Landauer. From here, it goes around the town square and Marienplatz. Here are Mercury, Venus, the Earth and the Red Planet Mars. Past the planetoid, corner Marienplatz / Fleischgasse, we leave the upper city center and take on the biggest planet in our solar system: Jupiter.
Compared to Earth, he is 11 times larger and 318 times as heavy. Almost as big is Saturn, the only planet with a brightly lit ring system. We end up over the Isar away at the Gymnasium Landau at Uranus and Neptune until we finally towards Harburg have arrived at the smallest and most enigmatic of all the planets, Pluto, and at the end of our solar system in the suburbs. An exciting way to explore the seemingly endless expanses.(Quelle: www.landau-isar.de)
